Here at Newton Ear Clinic in Salford our process is straightforward and effective, before commencing ear irrigation, we will have a look inside your ear to ensure earwax is the cause of hearing loss and nothing more, if any concerns advise will be given.
Following the assessment, and the procedure can commence, warm water will be used to irrigate your ear.
An electric pump will be used to manage the flow of water to the ear, this will be a pressurised jet of water which is inserted into the ear which then irrigates the soft wax from the ear canal. Some clients report this as being an “odd feeling” while some clients report it to feel soothing.
This will not cause any pain or discomfort throughout the procedure. Once the procedure is completed after care advice will be given on how to best care for your ears and prevent further earwax build up.
